To accompany this meal we suggest a traditional garnish that will be perfect to enjoy the tomato and onion sauce of your tuna to the maximum, the creamy mashed potatoes! That said, we do not take any more time, gather the ingredients and prepare a delicious tuna with onions and tomato.
- 600 gr. of tuna steaks
- 3 onions
- 6 peeled tomatoes
- 3 garlic cloves
- Wheat flour
- Olive oil
- Ground black pepper
Preparation of tuna with tomato onions
1-The first thing is to peel and cut the onion and garlic into small squares. Then crush the peeled tomatoes and salt the tuna steaks on both sides.-1-
2-In a pan with very hot olive oil, poach the onions and garlic until they are well browned and begin to release their aroma.
3-Then add the crushed tomatoes and salt and pepper to taste. Cover the pan and let it simmer for fifteen minutes. Then, turn off the fire and reserve.
4-Meanwhile, place plenty of wheat flour on a plate and flour the tuna steaks. Then fry the steaks in a pan with hot oil until they are well browned on all sides.
5-Finally, serve the tuna and bathe on top with plenty of onion and tomato sauce. Enjoy your hot tomato-on-tomato tuna very hot, what a good time!
Tips and recommendations:
If you want the sauce to be more homogenous, you can crush it in the blender before serving.
